You can't exactly run out to any retailer and grab a pair of Greek sandals, so if you need some in a hurry, make your own. Modifying a pair of flip flops to look like Greek sandals is fast and looks realistic if you need them for a Halloween costume or school play. Once you are done with the Greek look, the flip flops can be reused.

Cut the ribbon into two equal pieces. Grosgrain ribbon will work best and can be purchased at any fabric store.
Place the center of a piece of ribbon underneath the foot and pull the pieces up so they are equal on both sides of the foot.
Crisscross the ribbon around the calf, coming up to the knee. The crisscrosses should form large "X" shapes on the front and back of the calf.
Tie the ribbon in a knot once you reach the knee. The knot should be underneath the knee. To keep the knotted ribbon in place, a rubber band can be slipped under the knee and over the knot to keep it secure. Make sure the rubber band is not too tight or painful.
Repeat the process for the other leg.
Slip your feet into flip flops the same color of the ribbon you used, and it will give the illusion of Grecian sandals.
