How to Create a Souvenir Booklet

Treasures are everywhere.

Keepsakes such as school graduation tassels, old Disney World ticket stubs and other items that normally end up in the trash or someone's closet can be a source of joy to friends and family if packaged in the right way. Finding a way to store these items for later display is sometimes frustrating when loved ones want to clean house and get rid of all your "trash." However, with the right tools, your "trash" will soon become a family treasure and a conversation piece.

Gather all items that you want to include in the booklet. Make sure that all items are clean and free of dirt. This will make your booklet look nicer, especially if you are adding in seashells from the beach or any other items that may have a grimy residue.

Fold papers in half width-wise, into booklet size. It is best to use the amount of papers that you think you will need to fit all your souvenirs inside your booklet. Place all the papers together so that each paper is folded in the same size and length. Leave a few sheets of paper out and set them to the side for later use. Using a stapler, staple the middle creases of the papers together so that the papers will fold together and not fall apart. The staple should be horizontal and stapled on the crease of the papers, as a binder would look.

Create a pocket for souvenirs.

Cut out a shape of a pocket from another piece of paper that was not used. Glue the edge of the pocket shape to the page on which you would like to add your souvenirs. Make sure to leave a small space in the pocket to place items such as souvenir buttons or other small treasures.

Write any memorable quotes, sayings and other text that you would like to include on the other sheets of paper and add them to to the booklet by cutting out the text you write and gluing the cutouts with the writing on them to whichever souvenir pages you desire. It is a good idea to use legible handwriting instead of a computer printout. Doing this will add a personal touch to your souvenir book, and those who view the book will know that you worked hard to create the booklet. Finish with a title for your souvenir booklet written on the first page of the booklet.
