When you're decorating your bathroom environment, the finishing touches can make all the difference in how the area looks and feels. For example, embellishing ribbons tied around bathroom essentials and decorative pieces lend to a festive and attractive look. Knowing how to tie ribbons around bath towels, for example, gives you the ability to present interestingly shaped and folded towels in a guest bathroom or a gift spa basket.
Things You'll Need:
- Scissors
- Silk Ribbon Roll
Grab one end of the towel, lengthwise. Roll the towel inward until the other end is tucked into the roll. This creates a long tube-like towel roll.
Snip three lengths of silk ribbon measuring 12 inches each.
Place the ribbons, vertically and side by side on your work surface. Place the rolled towel, horizontally, across the ribbons. Grasp the ribbons and slide them to position them evenly beneath the towel so that one is at either end, and one is in the middle.
Grasp the ends of one of the ribbons and tie it into a simple bow. To do this loop each end and then tie them securely together into a single knot.
Repeat step 4 with the other two ribbons. This secures the towel so that it doesn't unravel, and also adds accents to it.
