The Sony PlayStation 3 is a gaming machine that also plays DVDs and Blu-Ray movies. By default, the Sony PlayStation 3 will not display subtitles while you watch a movie. However, if someone turned the subtitle feature on and didn't turn it off, subtitles will appear with the next movie you watch. You can disable and remove the subtitles from your movie at any point while you are watching it.
Press the "Start" button at any point during the movie to pause it.
Press the "Triangle" button.
Highlight "Subtitle Options" and press "X."
Switch the subtitles to "Off" and press the "Triangle" button to close the menu.
