Tom Costume
Choose a gray sweat suit. Pair it with white gloves and white shoes to provide the base for the Tom costume.
Cut an oval shape out of a piece of white fabric that is large enough to fit onto the chest and stomach of the sweat suit shirt. Attach the fabric to the shirt using fabric glue.
Cut two triangular cat ear shapes out of gray felt. Cut two smaller triangular cat ear shapes out of pink felt to be the inner parts of Tom's ears.
Use the hot glue gun to glue the inner ear shapes to the gray ear shapes. Glue the ears to a gray headband to create the cat ears.
Cut a piece of gray fabric to serve as the cat tail. The fabric should be twice as wide as you want the finished tail to be. Fold the fabric over and use the sewing machine to sew the two sides and the end together. Stuff the tail with pillow stuffing and sew or pin it to the seat of the sweat suit.
Paint your nose and the area around your mouth with white face paint so that it looks like Tom's face. Paint the rest of your face with gray face paint.
Jerry Costume
Wear a brown sweat suit with brown gloves and brown shoes as the base of the costume.
Cut an oval out of tan fabric that is the correct size to be attached to the chest and stomach of the top of the sweat suit.
Use fabric glue to attach the white fabric oval to the shirt of the sweat suit.
Cut large oval mouse ear shapes out of tan felt and slightly smaller oval shapes out of pink felt to create Jerry's ears. Hot glue the pink felt to the tan felt. Finish creating the mouse ears by gluing the ears to a brown head band.
Cut a piece of brown fabric that is the proper length for a mouse's tail and is twice as wide as you want the finished tail to be. Sew the two sides of the tail together, along with the end, using the sewing machine. Fill the tail with pillow stuffing and pin it or sew it to the back of the sweat pants.
Paint your nose and the area around your mouth white so that it looks like Jerry's face. Paint the rest of your face brown.
