If you need an easy, quick template for a spiral design, then make one out of cardboard. You can use any cardboard box that is around your house -- an old packing box, a shoebox or a grocery store produce box. Use your spiral template to make craft paper spirals for homemade greeting cards, scrapbook pages and other paper craft projects.
Things You'll Need
- Cardboard Box
- Spiral Printout
- Craft Paper
Print out a spiral cutout from a website such as the Miami Museum of Science, the Spiral Gallery, or Clker.com.
Cut out your spiral design carefully with a pair of scissors.
Place your spiral design on a piece of smooth cardboard. A flattened shoebox is a good example of this.
Trace the spiral cutout on the cardboard with a pencil. Cut it out with a pair of scissors. You now have a firm spiral template that you can place on a piece of craft paper and use to trace a spiral on the paper for a craft project.
