Sequence is a combination card and board game that can be played with two to 12 players. In Sequence, players race to create a sequence of five chips on the playing board. A Sequence playing board consists of 100 squares representing each of the 52 standard playing cards, except for the Jacks, twice. The four corners of a Sequence board are represented by Jokers. These squares are wild, and any four-chip sequence that borders a Joker counts as a winning sequence. Creating your own sequence board game is as simple as cutting and pasting a deck of playing cards.

Draw a 10-square-by-10-square grid on a 12-inch-by-12-inch piece of cardboard. Each square should have sides that are 1.2 inches long.

Cut two corners off of every card, except the Jacks, in a standard 52 card playing deck. Ensure that the corners you cut contain the rank and suit of the card. Each corner should be cut into a 1.2-inch-by-1.2-inch square.

Cut two corners off of two Jokers. Cut the corners into 1.2-inch-by-1.2-inch squares.

Glue a Joker square to each of the four corners of the grid.

Glue the squares cut out of cards onto the bottom row of the grid. The cards should go in the order: Joker, 4 of spades, 3 of spades, 2 of spades, Ace of spades, Ace of clubs, 2 of clubs, 3 of clubs, 4 of clubs then Joker.

Glue the squares cut out of cards onto the next row up in the grid. The cards should go in the order: 4 of diamonds, King of spades, 5 of spades, 6 of spades, 7 of spades, 7 of clubs, 6 of clubs, 5 of clubs, King of clubs then 4 of hearts.

Glue the squares cut out of cards onto the next row up in the grid. The cards should go in the order: 3 of diamonds, 5 of diamonds, Queen of spades, 9 of spades, 8 of spades, 8 of clubs, 9 of clubs, Queen of clubs, 5 of hearts then 3 of hearts.

Glue the squares cut out of cards onto the next row up in the grid. The cards should go in the order: 2 of diamonds, 6 of diamonds, 9 of diamonds, Queen of diamonds, 10 of spades, 10 of clubs, Queen of hearts, 9 of hearts, 6 of hearts then 2 of hearts.

Glue the squares cut out of cards onto the next row up in the grid. The cards should go in the order: Ace of diamonds, 7 of diamonds, 8 of diamonds, 10 of diamonds, King of diamonds, King of hearts, 10 of hearts, 8 of hearts, 7 of hearts then Ace of hearts.

Rotate the board 180 degrees.

Repeat steps 5 through 9, starting from the bottom of the board, to complete the other side of the Sequence game board.
