One of the differences between the Sony PlayStation 2 and other sixth-generation home gaming consoles is the PS2's capability to support USB devices thanks to its two USB ports. These devices, such as a keyboard or mouse, can be used with certain PS2 games to heighten your experience. If you wish to connect the proper USB devices to your PS2, the process for doing so is simple.
Connect the USB device to your PS2 by inserting the USB end of the device into one of the available USB ports on the front of the PS2.
Insert a game compatible with your USB device into the PS2. The console should immediately start up once the disc has been inserted.
Begin using your device with the game. The console should automatically detect the device as long as it has been designed for use with the PS2.
Warnings:
- Only USB devices approved for use with the PlayStation 2 will work on the console.
