Sizzix paddle punches are large punch dies with handles that are used to cut out shapes from materials or art mediums. The shapes are cut out the medium with a hammer. The paddle punches come in different shapes, such as flowers, stars, suns, circles, diamonds and small dots or circles. Use a Sizzix paddle punch to cut shapes out of felt fabric, foam craft sheets, card stock, crafting foil, vellum or paper for your next art project.

Things You Will Need

  • Cutting Mat
  • Cotton Swab

  • Set the cutting mat down on a stable workspace. Place the felt fabric or paper onto the cutting mat.

Hold onto the handle of the paddle punch with your left hand. Position the paddle punch onto the felt or paper where you want to punch out a shape.

Hit the paddle punch with the Sizzix paddle punch hammer, starting at the top of the punch and going around it in a clockwise direction around the edge of the punch. Hit it that hammer straight down to finish cutting the shape out of the felt or paper. Push the punched out shape out of the paddle with a finger or a cotton swab.
