If you are in a position where you sign a lot of paperwork, you may want to consider getting a signature stamp so that you can ink the stamp and easily transfer your signature to the correct places. Although you can buy a signature stamp, you also can use rubber and some carving tools to create your own. You will need to know how to work with and carve rubber before you get started.
Sign your name on a piece of paper in pencil. Go over it a few times to thicken the lines. This will make it easier to cut out.
Moisten your rubber block with a small amount of water.
Press the paper (signature-side down) firmly onto the rubber block. When you peel it off, the signature will be backward on the rubber block. This is how it is supposed to be.
Carve just outside of the outlines around your signature, using your linoleum carving tool. Work your way out to carving the larger outer rubber away.
Press the finished stamp into your ink pad and then onto the paper near your penciled signature to compare them. If you see any changes that need to be made, use your carving tool again until you are satisfied.
