Add the finishing touches to a costume by making your own ears. Making bunny ears for a school play -- or elf ears for a Christmas party -- is a fairly quick and easy process. With a few basic supplies and some creativity, you can transform your child or yourself into an animal or other-worldly being.
Things You'll Need:
- Card Stock
- Pencil
- Headband
- Glue
- Markers
Draw a pair of ears on a piece of cardstock. Use a color cardstock that works for the ears you are creating.
Use scissors to cut out the ears. Cut them as neatly as possible.
Add details to the ears. Use markers to embellish the cardstock ears to make them look more realistic. For cat ears, color the inside of the ears pink; for elf ears, use a black marker to draw curves in the ears or ear holes.
Glue the ears to an unadorned headband. Place them in the proper position for the character to be depicted. Glue human ears on the sides of the headband. Glue animal ears to the top of the headband.
