Things Needed

  • Computer
  • White paper
  • Scissors or paper cutter
  • Clear tape
Plain white paper can transform mini candy bars into customized party favors.

Personalized mini candy bar wrappers can be used as a promotional tool. Add your business phone number or URL. They can also be given away as a party favor. Consider creating mini candy bar wrappers for a baby shower or wedding. The wrapper is taped over the existing candy bar wrapper. Do not remove the manufacturer's wrapper. Make customized mini candy bars from plain paper or purchased labels.

Use a desk-top publishing program to make a 1.25-by-3 inch template. This will fit a mini Hershey bar. Make temporary guide lines at 3/4 inch, 1/8 inch, 1-7/8 inch, 2-1/4 inch. Alternately, you can download a pre-made template from one of the websites listed in the references.

Leave the space up to the 3/4-inch mark blank. Create the design or message in the space between the 1/8 inch and the 1-7/8 inch temporary guide lines. Print out a sample. Cut and wrap around a mini candy bar to see how the finished design will look.

Once the design is exactly how you like it, duplicate the image to fill the page. Print out as many copies as you need.

Cut the wrappers out. Consider using a paper cutter to achieve straighter lines.

Center the design on the top of the mini candy bar with a small piece of double sided tape, wrap each end over the bar. Use a piece of double sided tape on each flap to secure to the back of the mini candy bar.

Tip

You can also use 1.25-by-3 inch labels. Print onto the labels and stick right on the mini candy bar.
