The art of origami is one that requires precision and patience. An origami heart shape makes a perfect gift for any loved one. You can add a custom feel to your origami heart by using a colorful bandana or one with an unusual pattern.
Things You'll Need:
- Starch Spray Can
- Ironing Board
- Iron
- Bandana
Starch your bandana heavily before beginning the origami folding process. This will force the bandana to hold its shape better. Place the bandana on an ironing board and spray the starch on it according to the directions on the can. Iron the bandana. Repeat this process a few more times until the bandana has a stiff surface.
Fold the bandana in half, diagonally, to create a triangle shape and open it back up. Fold the bandana in half again, along the opposite diagonal. Open the bandana and you should see two creases in the shape of a cross.
Fold the top part of your bandana towards the center of your cross. Fold the bottom of the bandana so that the bottom point lies just over the top edge.
Fold the right and left sides so that these meet the center crease. Flip the bandana over and fold over the two small triangles and the sides and top of your origami heart. Spray some more starch over the origami heart and iron over it to make sure the bandana will keep the heart shape.
