Like any devices within your home network, your PlayStation 3 has its own unique IP address to identify it to your router and other connected devices. Once you learn your PS3's IP address, you can use it to create exceptions in your router's firewall or for other tasks that require it. The IP address can be easily found within the PS3's Settings menu, specifically under Network Settings.

Settings and Connection Status List

You can find your PS3's IP address in the Settings and Connection Status List, a tool within the Network Settings menu. You can find this menu under the Settings heading on the home screen menu. This list displays the IP near the bottom, as well as a bevy of other information about your PS3's network identity. This includes the type of connection being used, the type of security on that connection, the IP address of the router and more.
