Fresh flowers are a lovely touch for a honeymoon suite.

After a bride and groom say their "I dos" and enjoy a reception with friends and family, they will be looking forward to the next portion of the celebration -- an intimate honeymoon. If you can decorate the honeymoon suite in advance as a surprise for the couple, they'll enjoy it even more. Help them start their married life together with a few pretty, romantic touches that they'll appreciate and remember.

Things You'll Need:

  • Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
  • Candles
  • Framed Pictures
  • Champagne
  • "His" And "Hers" Towels
  • Ice Bucket
  • Flowers
  • Toasting Glasses

Put a vase of fresh flowers and some pretty candles in the honeymoon suite. Just be sure that the couple is not allergic to the flowers or candle scent you choose. Select flowers that will coordinate with the walls and furniture of the suite. For a romantic touch, sprinkle rose petals on the bed and the floor around it.

Put champagne, wine or sparkling cider in a bucket of ice on a table in the room, in addition to some chocolate-covered strawberries or other seasonal fruit. Put toasting glasses next to the bucket so that the happy newlyweds can toast their future as husband and wife.

Set framed photos of the couple during their courtship on the nightstands.

Shape towels embroidered with "his" and "hers" or the couple's initials into a heart and place them on the bed.
