Along with playing video games and Blu-ray movies, the Sony PlayStation 3 can also be used as a media server. You can connect external devices to view and transfer movies, music and photos. If you have a digital camera, you can connect your camera to the PS3 to access all of the pictures stored on the camera’s memory card.
Connect the USB cable to the USB port on your camera.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to one of the USB ports on the front of your PS3.
Power on your PS3 and scroll to the “Photos” tab in the Xross Media Bar.
Highlight your camera, which will be labeled “External USB Device” or similar, and press the triangle button on the controller.
Highlight “Display All” and press the X button on the controller. All of the photos stored on your camera will be shown on your PS3.
Tip
If you have an earlier PS3 model with the memory card reader slot, you can insert your camera’s SD or Memory Stick Duo card directly into your PS3.
