"Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!" was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. As Little Mac, you will take on 11 opponents in an attempt to become the boxing champion. Little Mac can perform jabs, body blows and uppercuts against his opponent. The uppercut is Little Mac's strongest move, causing considerably more damage than his standard punches. However, to throw an uppercut, you must have a star before you can use it. The amount of stars you have is displayed in the top left corner of the screen at all times.
Earn stars by punching opponents when they least expect it, like when they are preparing to throw a punch.
Stun your opponent by punching them after you have avoided one of their punches.
Press "Start" on your NES controller to perform an uppercut, using a star. Your opponent cannot dodge this move while he is stunned, resulting in him losing a large percentage of his health.
Tip
You can store up to three stars at one time.
Warnings:
- When you are punched by an opponent, you lose a star.
