The adult film world is a multi-million dollar industry. If you are interested in running your own adult movie studio there are several things that you will need to do to ensure that your business is a success and that you aren't breaking any laws.

Set up the business end of your adult movie studio including developing a business and marketing plan, hiring office staff, finding a location for your studio, buying equipment, setting up an accounting system, applying for tax identification numbers, getting a business license and buying liability insurance.

Learn all about legal requirements for the adult film industry. This includes getting proper identification on all actors and actresses, making sure that the actors and actresses are over 18 years of age and determining that each employee is authorized to work in the United States. Learn about copyright and trademark rights for your products and films.

Create a distribution plan for your products. Decide what types of distribution you are interested in, such as on-line and/or video options. You will also need to figure out the shipping methods that will work best for your products. Determine where you will store your products and how large your standing inventory will be for each film, or product, that you create.

Recruit your staff. You will need a receptionist/assistant; distribution manager; talent recruiter and a business manager. Hire your film crew(s), which will include a videographer, sound engineer and editor. Recruit your talent.

Keep your talent safe. Set up regular health checks for your actors and actresses. These health checks will ensure that all of your actors and actresses are free of sexually transmitted diseases.
