Put the cornstarch and flour in the mixing bowl and stir.
Add the corn syrup and water slowly to the cornstarch and flour mixture. Continue stirring until the ingredients reach a smooth consistency.
Divide the mixture evenly among the small storage containers. Make sure that you have enough containers for the number of colors you want, as you'll make a different color in each container.
Add one or two drops of food coloring to each container and mix. If you're not satisfied with the color, add another drop or two and mix. Continue adding food coloring to and mixing each color until you've reach your desired colors.
