The Janome sewing machine was launched by the PINE sewing factory in 1979. Janome means "snake eyes" in Japanese, which could be, the Sewing Machine Reviewer surmises, a reference to the round bobbins. The Janome sewing machine sews button holes well, making your button holes look neat. You need not say you did not sew them by hand.
Slip the automatic buttonhole foot R onto the shank and seat a button in the back of the foot. This sets the size of the buttonholes.
Choose stitch pattern 1, 2, 6 or 7.
Lift the presser foot and set the fabric in place. Lower the presser foot and begin to sew. The sewing machine automatically sews a button hole.
