Bulletin boards are a staple in most classrooms and daycare centers. They are a great way to post important information and display assignments. If you want to liven up your bulletin board, consider decorating it for a specific holiday or theme. You can also easily add an everyday decoration such as a picket fence.
Things You'll Need:
- Scissors
- White Paint
- Construction Paper
- Stapler
Decide how tall you want the fence to be. Mark the height on a piece of construction paper. Measure the length of the board to determine how many fence pieces to make.
Outline the fence posts. Draw two parallel lines approximately 2 inches apart. Connect the two lines to form a triangular top. Draw multiple picket fence pieces about 1/2 inch apart.
Cut out all of your fence pieces. Make sure you have enough to cover the board. Factor in 1 inch between each fence post.
Attach the picket fence pieces to the bulletin board with a stapler. Staple along the edges of each piece, and remember to leave 1 inch between each fence post.
Tip
For an added effect, draw your picket fence pieces on a brown piece of construction paper and paint them white with paint. Allow the paint to dry before cutting the pieces out.
