have you ever found that you needed an envelope and you didn't have one well my name is dana johnson and i'm here to show you a very simple way to make your own envelope perhaps you have some pictures you want to send to your friends or family perhaps that you've made a greeting card and you need an envelope for it or perhaps there's that time that you've made the boo-boo on the envelope and you need to start over again it's very simple you need a piece of construction paper a ruler scissors pencil and anything to seal it you can use glue stick you can use an all-purpose glue or tape let's get started so we start out with a simple piece of construction paper place your greeting card just make a triangle here at the top place the greeting card down take your ruler draw yourself a nice straight line take the scissors cut along the line and you have the perfect shape to get started to make your envelope it's most important to start by folding in the smaller corners first and lo and behold you have the beginning of your envelope right here that fast take two pieces of tape put it down here on the underneath side up your envelope place it down to give a more professional look cut that off right there and we're just about done here with our finished product just need to lay your envelope down fold the final edge and a nice thing to use to close would be a little a sticker and you just put the sticker on and your envelope is sealed and this is so much more cost efficient as well if you're doing these in bulk you can make these for up to 50 less than you would if you were to purchase envelopes in a box so here we have all these different colors of construction paper different kinds of designs so you can go ahead and you know use your creativity and make them your own personalized envelopes
