The world of digital photography has opened up the doors for many do-it-yourself personalized projects. One fun product to make on your own is a photo calendar. With the use of editing software, you can make a completely personalized calendar for display in your home, workplace, or as a gift. Making your own photo calendar allows you to put exactly what you want on it and you can be certain that its appearance is to your satisfaction.

Visit Printable Calendar or another website of your choice to download a template for a calendar page. Make sure you are choosing a horizontal format.

Open your editing software and set your measurement to inches and the canvas size to 5.5 by 8.5.

Open up the photo you want to use for the first month on the calendar.

Paste the photo on the top half of the canvas. You may wish to draw a guideline down the center of the canvas to make sure your photo is taking up the right amount of space.

Paste the blank calendar page you saved earlier to the lower half of the page.

Add text for the name of the month, days of the week, and days of the month if they are not already included in your template.

Save the image as a JPEG file. You may wish to create a new folder specifically for your calendar images.

Repeat Steps 3 through 6 until you have completed pages for every month of the year.

Print all your calendar pages on photo paper or have them printed professionally. If you are doing your own printing on a standard printer, you will have to trim the width of the paper after printing.

Put the pages in order and fold them in half.

Place two or three staples down the center crease to hold the calendar together.
