How to Get Wrinkles Out of Paper

Things You'll Need

  • Paper
  • Large hardcover books
  • Shower

Items printed on paper are essential for any personal or business matters. Unfortunately, paper is not the most durable material, and even the slightest amount of mishandling will result in a paper item that's creased, wrinkled and even unreadable. However, these issues are easily remedied with a minimal amount of effort and time.

Hang the paper in the bathroom, as near to the shower as you can without getting it wet.

Run the shower on hot, with the bathroom door and windows closed.

Wait approximately 10 minutes while the bathroom fills with steam and the paper fibers loosen.

Turn off the shower and remove the paper from the bathroom. Handle the paper with care, as its fibers have been loosened, and any undue stress may cause further damage.

Press the paper between two flat surfaces, such as two large, heavy books. Allow the paper to dry while pressed.

  • Don't leave the paper in the bathroom longer than 10 minutes, as it could cause further damage.
