Sure, ants on strawberries look nice on picnic fabric, but not in the garden among the real deal. There are several ways to kill ants with harmful chemicals, but there is also a simple, organic solution that you can make by using basic household ingredients. Mix together 2 tbsp. molasses, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. dry yeast.
Dip small pieces of cardboard into the solution, and set the pieces in the strawberry patch.
Re-apply weekly to keep the problem under control.
Bottle caps or container lids work well for the ant poison.
