Teva sandals are best-suited for water activities and warm weather. They are specially made to be waterproof and provide traction when walking on slippery surfaces. Teva sandals are both practical and fashionable. These sandals are generally well-made, but occasionally the top sole of the sandal will come apart from the bottom sole of the sandal. The soles can be reattached using an adhesive substance that is both durable and will still be flexible once it dries.
Clean the sole of the Teva sandal thoroughly with a soap-and-water solution. Wipe down the rest of the sandal. Dry the sandal.
Apply a good adhesive such as “Shoe Goo” (found in running shops), Blue RTV (found in auto parts stores), or latex caulk. Spread a generous amount of the adhesive in the division between the top sole and the bottom sole of the sandal.
Press the two soles together. Use plenty of pressure to hold the two soles together. You may want to weigh down the sandal with a heavy object such as a book to allow for even pressure while the sandal is drying.
Leave the sandal to dry for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, step into the sandal and press down to release any air bubbles. Walk around to be sure that the soles are now fully attached.
Remove excess adhesive with a utility knife. If the sandal is still not fully connected, repeat steps 2 to 5 and use a larger amount of adhesive.
