How to Make Heaven Props Images

Whether you are dressing up as an angel this Halloween or performing in a play about heaven, learning how to make heaven props will make your costume or performance more visually interesting. Make heaven props with materials you already have in your own home, and be creative. Your props can be as large or as small as you desire, and can range from angelic wings to heavenly harps played by cherubs.

Things You'll Need

  • Scissors
  • Gold Paint
  • Cotton Balls
  • Cardboard
  • Glue
  • White Feathers

Decide on some standard heaven props to cut out of the cardboard. Some examples include angel wings, instruments, a halo or clouds. Cut these shapes out of cardboard paper. Angels and cherubs are sometimes depicted playing instruments such as harps or trumpets, so these both make good choices of instrument. Halos should be measured to fit around the person's head who will be wearing it.

Glue the white feathers to the angel wing cardboard pieces. Glue them with the top end of the feather pointing downward, and continue to overlap rows of downward-facing feathers until they reach the top of the cardboard piece. Let dry.

Paint the halo and the instrument pieces with the gold paint to give a glittery, gold effect. Paint both sides of the cardboard so that the prop is reversible. Paint two to three coats until the color reaches the desired effect and let dry.

Attach cotton balls to the cloud-shaped cardboard pieces to make them look like clouds. Clouds are a great heaven prop since heaven is typically thought of as a place above the sky, so angels are frequently depicted standing on clouds. If desired, attach a second layer of cotton balls to the cloud to make it more puffy and lifelike. Let dry.
