A poster of your favorite movie star, band, singer or artist can show off your allegiance and interests. Decorative posters can make your room feel more unique and can make a dorm room feel more like a home away from home. If your posters get wrinkled when you take them down, you don't have to throw them away. Instead, you can flatten out a wrinkled poster and hang it on your wall with pride.
Things You'll Need:
- Straight pins
- Bed sheet
- Ironing board
- Steam iron
Tip
Keep the iron on the "dry" setting, and avoid pressing too long on any one spot.
Roll out the wrinkled poster and pin it to your ironing board with straight pins, so it is held firmly in place.
Place a bed sheet over the poster. The sheet will form a protective barrier between the hot iron and the poster so that it will not get burned.
Plug in the iron and adjust the heat to the lowest possible setting. Let the iron heat up.
Iron the poster through the sheet, starting at the top and working your way across the poster horizontally.
