Things You'll Need

  • Paper
  • Pencil or pen

Even if you aren't an artist, you can learn how to draw a quick and simple flower. Practice until you feel comfortable drawing a posy. Once you've mastered the skill, decorate homemade greeting cards, scrapbook pages or letters with a bouquet of flowers. Use colored pencils, markers, highlighters or crayons to decorate your flowers.

Draw a circle.

Draw the top of a heart, minus the pointed bottom -- this is your first petal.

Start your second petal partly behind your first petal so they overlap. Continue drawing partial hearts around the circle.

Draw a curved line down the center of each petal.

Draw a curvy line at the indent of one petal -- this is the beginning of a leaf.

Draw another curvy line, starting at the next petal. Angle the second line toward the first one to connect the two and form a leaf.

Divide the leaf in half with a line.
