Channel Your Inner Daenerys Targaryen with this Braid Tutorial

Characters on the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" may come and go, but one thing will always remain the same: lead character Daenerys Targaryen's stunning hairstyle. Channel the beauty's signature look this Halloween with this surprisingly simple hair tutorial from Buffy Fox, a hairstylist who works with American Haunts member Bennett's Curse in Jessup, Maryland.

Prep and Part Hair

Comb hair to make it as straight and smooth as possible.

Using the comb, create a slightly off-center part on the right side of your head.

On each side of your part, separate hair into two horizontal sections, leaving out a few 1/2 inch strands of hair around the front of your face and ears.

Pin each section with a clip to keep them separated.

Braid the Top Section

Divide the top right horizontal section into three small subsections.

Begin French braiding the three subsections, stopping after the third round of picking up additional strands of hair.

Finish the braid as a simple three-strand braid until you reach the middle of the back of your head. Secure with a clear ponytail holder.

Repeat on the opposite side.

Braid the Bottom Section

Divide the bottom right horizontal section into three small subsections. French braid hair until it's in line with your ear.

Using the same braid, transition into a waterfall braid until you reach the middle of the back of your head. Secure with a clear ponytail holder

Repeat on the opposite side.

Curl Hair

Spray hair with a light layer of hair spray.

Using a curling iron, curl hair around your face and ears in loose, vertical spirals.

Continue curling the remainder of your hair, starting with the ends and curling until about 1 inch from the scalp.

Set hair with another layer of hair spray.
