How to Play a DVD on a PS3

Utilize all of the PS3's features to get the most out of the device. The Sony PlayStation 3 is not just for playing your favorite video games. With a wired or wireless network connection, you can browse the Web, download content from the Internet, access the PlayStation Network and even play music files. The PS3 gaming console is also capable of playing CDs, Blu-ray media and DVDs.

Press the "Power" button on the console to turn on the PS3.

Insert the DVD into the game disc slot on the console, with the label facing up. The PS3 will detect the disc and load the DVD menu automatically.

Press the "X" button on the PS3 controller to select the DVD menu option you want to execute.
