The contemptible Cruella De Vil was made famous in the Disney movie “101 Dalmatians.” Cruella, as the name implies, is cruel and evil, especially to animals. Every time she sees an animal, she sees fur. This wicked villain is known for her obsessive interest in the fur of the innocent Dalmatian puppies, which she aggressively pursues throughout the movie. If you want to dress-up as Cruella De Vil for Halloween or a costume party, prepare to look and feel like a villainess for just one day!
Cut the faux fur into two strips. Each strip should be 5 inches wide and 50 inches long. You can trim the ends afterward if the stole is too long. Attach the two strips back to back using pins.
Hand sew both sides of the faux fur together using an overcast stitch 1/4 of an inch from the fabric's edge. Then trim the ends evenly with scissors and sew them together. The stitching will not be easily noticed when an overcast stitch is used.
Dress yourself in a sexy, formal black dress. It should be form-fitting with a plunging neckline and should reach the calf. Then wrap your Cruella-inspired faux fur stole on your neck.
Don a Cruella wig, which is half black and half white. If you have black or dark hair, you can use a temporary white highlight hairspray to add highlights to your hair. Likewise, if your hair is already a light blonde color, use spray-on black hair paint on half.
Wear black stockings and a pair of black or red high-heeled shoes.
Apply red lipstick and heavy make-up on your face. Make your face two shades whiter for a pale and pasty look. Line your eyelids and fill in your eyebrows with black eyeliner and apply a dark green eye shadow. Add false eyelashes to make your lashes match Cruella's long, thick black lashes.
Add long red gloves, a cigarette holder and a white purse with a stuffed Dalmatian puppy in it to complete your Cruella De Vil costume.
Backcomb your hair for a crazier look and keep it in place with hair spray.
Watch the Disney film and observe Cruella's voice, style and mannerisms. Practice them so you can better emulate her.
