DIY Ten Commandment Tablets

By Vera Leigh
Lead your children in an art project based on the Ten Commandments of the Bible.

If you are trying to teach your children about the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament, then lead them in an easy, quick craft that requires only a few simple art supplies that you probably already have around your house. You can use free online templates for a Ten Commandments craft, or you can draw the tablets freestyle. Be creative.

Do a Ten Commandments Project From Templates

Print out the free Ten Commandments craft templates from the craft website DLTK (see Resources below) to make the tablets and also a Moses figure.

Cut out the templates for the tablets and Moses, using a pair of scissors.

Glue the correctly assembled template parts onto a piece of computer paper.

Write a favorite commandment--or a commandment that you would like to remember more often--somewhere on the paper.

Make Ten Commandments Tablets Freestyle

Draw two tablets freestyle on two pieces of computer paper.

Color the tablets using markers or crayons of your choice.

Write the Ten Commandments on the two tablets and cut the tablets out with a scissors.
