How to win Scav Hunt

By Robin Raven

A scavenger hunt is a time-honored tradition often used at birthday parties. It get people moving, thinking and having fun. The next time you are in the midst of a scavenger hunt, you can have an upper hand. Preparing a strategy is key. Here you will find a simple way to win at a scavenger hunt.

Start looking in the most unusual places first.

Divide your resources. If you are working in teams, you'll get more done if you spread out. In a few quick sentences, give everybody their own territory to quickly examine.

Look in as many places as fast as you can. Speed is ultimately the key to winning in a scavenger hunt.

Explore all hidden places in one area before moving on to another. It will save you time in the long run if you don't have to go back to repeat searches.

Get as many objects as possible. Because speed is sometimes judged, you might want to get more objects in less time than it would take you to get all of them in a longer time.

Return to the home base when you have found all the objects or as many as possible.

End the game with grace and gratitude. Prizes can range from the reward of knowing you won to some really cool stuff. Whichever the case may be, appear thankful. Express your appreciation for the experience.
