Celtic love knots symbolize the bond between two people and the longevity of their lives together. Make a loose loop with the cord.
Feed the top side through the center. The cord will look like a very loose single knot.
Feed the same side through the center again, but this time feed it under the left side of the cord. This will be like make a simple weave.
Feed the right side end through the center again, weaving under, over and under to form a third weave.
Work the knot flatly with your fingers until it resembles a heart with the ends of the cord parallel to either side.
Tighten the knot by flattening it with your fingers until it is very taut.
