History

The Farberware company was started by tinsmith S.W. Farber in 1900. The company created vases, bowls, pots and a host of kitchen accessories. From then on, Farberware was associated with innovation as well as function. Farberware was the first company to introduce the coffee percolator. Farberware is still a popular brand today with more than 100 years of experience making stylish kitchenware and appliances for the average household.

Significance

Farberware's reputation is its biggest asset. Many companies have not lasted more than a century, but Farberware has remained one of the top-selling brands of kitchenware. This is due to Farberware's ability to change with the times and embrace technology in the kitchen. Time Frame

Farberware began as a brand in 1900 in a basement on the Lower Eats Side of Manhattan. When it started, S.W. Farber was the creator of many pots, pans and decorative vases made from copper and brass. Farber stayed ahead of the curve when modern appliances were invented. Farberware invented many handy kitchen gadgets including Coffee Robot and the first electric fry pan that could be submersed in water to be cleaned. Today, Farberware is still in business and creating various lines of kitchen products.

Features

Cookware made by Farberware uses some of the latest technology for better cooking and easy cleaning. Farberware uses safe, nonstick surfaces for cooking that also provides an even cooking surface for better cooking. Farberware's stainless steel line features cushioned grips made from silicone and an aluminum disk that is bonded to the stainless steel for the best heat distribution over the pan. Farberware also produces a line of fine china with simple patterns for casual or formal dining.
