Every year, millions of old, used tires from cars and trucks pile up as waste. Researchers have discovered a way to create diesel fuel from used tires. They have designed highly technical, specialized equipment that heats the rubber from the tires to a very high temperature. The gas created by this heating is funneled through a condenser which separates the gas from the oil that is also created. The oil that filters out is high-quality diesel fuel which can power our cars. This system can make a tremendous impact on the environment and lessen our reliance on petroleum.
Acquire access to a conversion system which includes a microwave reacting unit, microwave thermometer, vacuum system and condenser.
Collect old, used tires. Acquire one or more trucks. Drive to garbage dumps and tire-dumping grounds and ask assistants to help you load the tires into your trucks.
Deliver the tires to a company that grinds up tires.
Deliver the ground-up tires to a facility with a conversion system.
Put the ground-up tires into a glass flask. Place the glass flask into the microwave reacting unit which contains a thermal indicator.
Place a glass bell jar cover over the glass flask. Create a vacuum by covering the jar.
Turn on the microwave. The amount of time the tires must be in the microwave will vary, depending on the system you are using.
Put on heavy gloves. Remove the glass bell jar cover from the flask. Lay the cover on a protected surface.
Take the flask out of the microwave oven. Place the flask on a protected surface.
Remove the glass jar below the condenser. The jar will be filled with the oil that dripped out from the condenser.
